Jake Sheiner

JAKE SHEINER - At Night and From A Distance - 10th July - 7th August, 2021

The title of the show is taken, in part, from Roman Polanski, who is quoted as saying “Los Angeles is the most beautiful city in the world, as long as seen at night and from a distance.” The body of work shows that underneath the beauty, there is often an undercurrent of isolation and loneliness, obfuscated by the near perfect weather and the fear of presenting a less than ideal self.
